Just had this pop up from Microsofts' Win10 security system
Trojan:JS/Foretype.A!ml
Alert level: Severe
Date 01/12/2020 14:23
Category: Trojan
Details: This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.
Affected items
\woocommerce-admin\dist\data\index.min.js
Now I'm fairly certain that this is NOT a trojan. It's been on my system for some weeks (months) and the AV hasn't spotted it before, but it's starting to make me worry about how good (or bad) Microsofts AV offering is. Recent items I've found quarantined include Piriform's CCleaner, a 3rd party backup program and, most amusingly, iTunes which it listed as a PUA. Really? What this seems to show is that their AV isn't looking for viruses but for competitors software.
Any comments? Is this really a Trojan? If so this is going to be one of the biggest attacks seen for some time because there are several million installations of WooCommerce out there.
