Every time I restart my computer, the volume slider breaks and no matter what percent it's on, the volume stays at its highest. Even if I open Sounds and try and change the slider there, the only way to change the volume is on the actual player (VLC/youtube etc). I figured out I could fix the problem by disabling the Synaptics Audio Driver, restarting, and enabling it again. But then the next time my laptop restarts, it stops working again and it's driving me crazy. I don't want to keep fixing it constantly, I want to keep it from happening.
