Windows 11 Webcam blocked in Edge under Windows 11S

I bought an HP Laptop specifically for Zoom sessions, but can"t get the zoom browser session in Edge to recognize the camera. The Unit came with Windows 11S so I'm reluctant to try downloading the Zoom client or alternate browser since that would void the Win security. I've tried every combination of camera permissions I can think of from the device manager and also from the address bar, but for everything I've tried I either get "camera in use by other app" message, or the "enable permissions from address bar" message.
