Windows 11 What happened to the files I restored from the recycle bin?

I restored multiple items both yesterday & today from my recycle bin and they are not where they were originally, or anywhere on my laptop. I tried turning on the "show hidden files" setting & restarting my laptop, etc., but they are still not there. What happened? Is there any way I can get them back?
