Windows 11 What happens if my 12VHPWR cable has one extension and then the rest are just normal pcie cables?

So my friend has a 4080 super and told me its under performing and im thinking that it might be the fact that his 12VHPWR has one extension cable and then 2 normal pcie cables.Would that be the problem? Also the gpu drivers are all updated as well as the others.Thank you!
