Windows 7 what is the latest media player version? is it still 12, and are you still supporting it?

can't see why microsoft wouldn't be supporting it, they still include it in their windows packages, no matter how they repackage the drivers in g.u.i.'s. been trying to update my media player, because it won't show album information. what do i need to do to fix that problem? what's the point of a media player that doesn't tell you what song it's playing?
