I noticed Windows 11 Explorer was not finding content I searched for within a PDF. After rebuilding the index and checking that settings in both Indexing Options and Windows Explorer were correct I eventually changed iFilter provider (from Sumatra to Adobe). I noticed an immediate difference in the time it took the Index tool to build its index - with Adobe it was much slower (I assume because it was finally indexing PDF content).Once the index was built Explorer did find content within PDFs, although the hit rate wasn't a perfect.
