Windows 10 Whatsapp Desktop spell check does not work - not able to pick one language. Everything is unterlined in red

No matter if I install the version from the Windows Store or from the WhatsApp Website. Spellchecking is not working and there are no entries in the Settings.So many conflicting and confusing messages online...is there a method to get this functioning through Windows Keyboard or so?Thank you for your time and help!Best,Christian
