Windows 11 when i left click on a screen, it takes action not only on that screen but the screen under the one i am on after that action is taken

When i left click on a screen, for example to close an email by clicking on the X, the email will close, but then on the screen below it is as if i clicked again on that screen wherever the mouse was on the original screen.
