Hello! Yesterday, I was using my computer normally and when I shut it down, windows started installing some updates, as it does often. Today, I booted my PC and tried to log-in. For some reason, my computer took ages to log-in, getting stuck on the "Welcome" screen for a while. After that, instead of loading my desktop normally, the screen became white for a minute or two (flashing between white and the "Welcome" screen), but eventually I got on my desktop normally. Ctrl+Alt+Del and the Task Manager worked fine.

Following some possible solutions (Windows 10 Desktop flashing on startup, https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10/windows-10-login-screen-flashing/e95da1c3-2959-4f99-8ad7-bb681a323ce3, https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/cant-log-into-windows-10-it-flashes-between-login/0a387f86-c8c6-40b3-acdd-d72b93f0c716, https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-does-not-start-and-login-screen-flashes/d5e0928a-fd55-4220-a2bd-e2045fe1fc7d, https://www.tenforums.com/general-support/17625-windows-10-flashing-login-screen.html, https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-start/windows-10-desktop-flashing-on-startup/14caf96e-2539-40d0-a45c-f8cd9bfa862e) I ran DISM and sfc, disabled “problem reports and solutions control panel support” and “windows error report service” from services, checked Windows Update and even tried to do a Startup Repair with an external drive I had installed Windows on. Nothing solved my problem, I got the white screen every time I tried to log-in (except in Safe Mode), until I used System Restore to restore my PC back to how it was before the updates. After trying to install the updates again, the problem came back, and persisted until I did another System Restore.

My GPU drivers are up-to-date, I'm 90% sure my PC is malware-free, I haven't installed any new softwares or hardware and again, the issue only occurs if I install the pending updates. The only thing I haven't tried to do it is reinstalling Windows, that will be my last option. ATM I just paused the updates and my PC is fine, but I really want to have my system up-to-date, so if anyone knows how to fix my issue, please leave your reply.

I'm not 100% sure if these are the updates that were causing the issue but they're my "suspects":

My system specs are an i3-8100, a GTX 1060 6GB and 16GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM. I'm running Windows 10 Pro 2004.
