Windows 11 Why are we able to use Itunes but are unable to download onto our Ipod in Windows 11 "S" mode?

The message when the iPod is plugged in - "This iPod cannot be used because it is not supported on this version of Windows". The iPod is the current generation. Is this because of S mode and if so, is there a way around this or is the only way for the iPod to work is to take it out of S mode?Thank youJones
