Windows 10 Why do i see a different ip address on my recent activity and attempts to sign in from different browser?

I recently checked my account recent activities and i noticed that from time to time, even when i haven't turn on my pc or logged in to my account at all there's these failed sign-in attempts (have been successful sign-ins since i changed my password two days ago) But the thing is, apparently it comes from my same location and it says same IP address but different browser which is Internet Explorer and i never use that one, i've always used Mozilla Firefox. Why is that happening? Is there a chance it can be someone else? A Microsoft error? My own laptop doing that? I'm a little bit concerned. Also, the IP address i notice even when i'm the one that sign ins and then i go check on my recent login activity, it shows a different IP address than my actual PC has. Why is that happening? PS, English is my second language, sorry if i made any mistakes when writing this.
