Windows 11 Why do my wired headphones make a loud buzzing sound and stop working when I play 2 sounds simultaneously?

This problem started around 2 months ago, when I was playing a game and listening to music. As soon as I start playing the second sound, instead of overlapping my game, it made a loud buzzing noise, relatively high frequency. The only way to get it to stop is to unplug the headphones. Once they're plugged back in, no sound plays out of them at all. I tested this with 2 pairs of headphones and both have done the same thing, meaning this isn't an issue with the headphones themselves. All drivers are fully up-to-date, and I'm on the latest version of Windows 11.
