Windows 11 why does it keep asking me for a password when im passwordless

my microsoft password expired and it logged me oit and its asking for my old password and for me to make a new one but my account it passwordless and it wont let me log in, i even tried putting on a password and resetting it and it still didnt work as a password, what do i do?
