Windows 10 Why does my file explorer crash when I use specific programs?

Recently my File Explorer has just been running slowly and then yesterday it just decided to stop working. It would just sit there at a blank screen that says "working on it..." I went into my registry and deleted Bag as well as BagMRU and restarted my pc and it seemed to be working fine. I kept using my pc and started using Ableton and Premiere Pro to find out that my file explorer broke again. Then I realized that using apps that access file explorer to use my files just breaks my file explorer. I've reinstalled them both but the problem still remains. I'm using Windows 10. Does anybody have
