Windows 11 Why does my IEEE 1394 Host Controller appear in my device manager but not what I plug into it in windows 11?

I have an IEEE 1394 pcie card in my desktop, it appears perfectly in the device manager, but when I plug in my audio interface (m-audio Firewire solo) it doesn't appear anywhere. So when I try to install the drivers,it obviously doesn't work. Thanks.
