Windows 11 Why don’t my files show up in my web browser but they do in the file explorer?

Hello. I need help with a situation that just occurred. I just got a new Inspiron 15 3530 and I made Google Chrome my default browser. I went to download some pictures online to make my Google Chrome browser background and the pictures and files show up in my regular recycle bin and file explorer but when I go to upload the pictures onto Google Chrome, nothing shows up. All it says is, “No items match your search”. I already know that they’re the same folder that I’m opening it from because I’m saving the pictures to “Downloads” and opening them from “Downloads” but for some reason, on Google
