Windows 11 Why has my fingerprint not working.

I have been trying to add a fingerprint sign-in using for Windows Hello. The problem seems to be that it will stop working at exactly after x amount of swipes. "your device is having trouble recognizing you" keeps persisting. I am confident that the fingerprint is working well as I had my friend try it and worked, but for my finger it gets stuck on that frustrating message. My model is a HP ProBook 430 G5 Windows 11 Pro Education.In short: My finger does not work for fingerprint sign in but my friends do.
