Windows 10 Why is an online Microsoft account stuck logged in on my PC?

I run windows 10, I like to sign in with local accounts. My administrator account and my sons standard user account. This works well as I don't want my 9 year old having admin rights and he uses his own account. Recently I purchased Minecraft for him and had to login to his Microsoft account online to activate it. I then had to download the Xbox app to download and install it - This was mistakenly done while logged into my windows 10 profile. I've had to log his Microsoft account out of the Xbox app, uninstalled the app on my profile and then installed the Xbox app on his standard user local w
