I have a new Dell PC - Intel Core i5, 12 GB RAM and 1 TB hard disk. I usually hibernate the computer to keep the same state. Reboot it once in a week. Every time, I switch on , the system is very slow. When I inspect the task manager, The disk % is at 100% for about 5 minutes. After that everything is normal and can use any software. During the initial 5 minutes, if I open chrome or Opera or any browser, the system doesn't respond. This is not the first time, I have faced this. For the last 3 years, I used to have this issue on my HP laptop with Windows 8 , Lenovo laptop with Windows 8 and a recently Dell PC with Windows 10. This is the 4th system with this problem. I have see some articles about how you can change Chrome and Skype settings to fix this issue. But, that has not solved this problem.
I also stopped the following services and did not solve the issue.
SysMain
Windows Search
Background Intelligent Transfer
Dell SupportAssist
Dell RemoteAssist
The Dell customer services guys could not fix it. They are asking me to reinstall OS.. This is a brand new PC.. so, not sure..
