Windows 11 Why is Windows 11 taking so long to rewrite a modified file on my C-drive ?

In the past few months for some reason, Windows 11 Pro 64 bit Version 22H2 (Build 22621.1265) has slowed down considerably when saving or rewriting a modified file or moving a file within my C-drive. Sometimes up to three or four minutes for something small like a .PDF file. I've tried turning of file indexing but that made no difference. System: Dell Inspiron 14-500011th gen Intel i7 Processor 2.8 GHz12 Gb RAM500 Gb SSD drive with 171 Gb free space
