Windows 10 Wifi Smart Plugs and other Alexa and Google Home type automation outlets and home control gizmos

So I bought these for the holidays and love them. My greatest challenge is understanding how Windows 10 or even Windows 8.1/7 have no ability to turn the lights on and off without loading some contrived MEmu type emulator (or NOX etc) and loading the Tuya Smart Life app and only then can I use Windows desktops or laptops to turn things on and off like I can with any nine dollar old android phone.


So the question is when does Microsoft plan to allow people to use their windows computers to access some sort of windows API's to access these things more safely and efficiently or does Microsoft instead plan to throw out the baby with the bathwater simply because Google and Amazon are getting out in front on this initiative and so we want to SPITE all of our loyal Windows desktop users just because we can?


So why exactly are apps like Tuya SmartLife not available on the Microsoft Play App store? Why is it when I get an app like the Amazon Alexa app it doesn't work right on Windows 10?
