Windows 11 Will using the built in OPTIMIZE and DEFRAGMENT setting help speed my SSD up or damage it?

hello I own a SSD and saw a setting that said OPTIMIZE and DEFRAG your drives and I clicked on it and ran It my PC seemed to be less crunchier so I went to YouTube and chrome to look it up further and some are saying it will damage it and some that said it would help me, and when I kept scrolling it said it will Automatically change between DEFRAG and TRIM depending on what card you have can you help me figure out wich answer is the right one? I'm confusedQuestion 1: is my SSD going to get damaged or is it set to automatically optimize depending on what type or drive you are using?Question 2:
