Windows 10 Win 10 very slow. DSIM and Scannow won't run

Win 20H2 19042-928Intel i7, 32gbGTX 16601Gb SSD system with about 30% free space + various HDsIt's hard to type on the affected machine as keys are laggy or repeatttttttttttttttttt. It won't update Windows. I have tried using Media Creation tool, repair etc. Scannow gives the error below. DSIM won't run either see error and log file. I can see my system seems to have a lot of copies of dsim.exe, is that normal?I have tried all manner of solutions that I have found, e.g. updated drivers, run trouble shooters, deleted the contents of the distribution folder, started and stopped various services
