Win10 DIDN'T work when i installed it with the upgrade promotion... Now they're ending win7.

Please help guys. My PC HATED windows 10 when the promotion ran a few years ago. I installed it and it asked all this unnecessary stuff like "do you want a pin" no, password is fine. "what do you want your lock screen to look like?" I spend 5 seconds looking at it a day, if that...

Forgetting the "look at my shiny computer that runs twenty times the programs than is actually needed," trash, (and it is trash because older computers cannot bear it) it genuinely had some serious issues when I used it on my big, capable, heavily invested in machine. I suffered from everything. It blue-screened sporadically, it displayed in whatever/random resolutions every time I booted on the PC, it certainly wouldn't play games, basically it made my pc into a brick. I went back to Win7 the day after!!!

I can't go without this pc... If Win7 is ending I NEED Win10.

Win7 runs really well and so do all the programs I download (old and new) so I don't see the issue myself. This HAS been reported to Meyecrowsopht and they told me, "the upgrade promotion is over, you have to pay for it now!" They didn't even offer support or an explanation. They forgot that I'm one of the five people who bought a genuine copy of Win7 Home Edition and that I am a CUSTOMER who needs HELP. Not happy at all about that.

I would LOVE to pay for it... Especially now that win7 is ending and I have not any choice whatsoever apart from moving to one of the very many alternative OS's... However, it didn't work on my PC when I did this a few years ago. How do I know it will work now? There's zero chance of my buying Windows10 without me knowing it works beforehand. And there's zero percent chance of me buying it without good support.

BOTTOM LINE OF QUESTION

How do I know it will work on my PC when it didn't a few years ago?

Will support improve? My experience is that Windows support is a 1 in 40 chance of getting someone who knows their stuff. In the real world, I cannot be posting questions on this forum. If I need help, I need help NOW.

Many thanks in advanced and apologies for sounding like I'm fed up... But I am fed up!
