Hello.

Last week the 2004 feature update has been unlocked for my computer (it started to update automatically, I didn't force the update manually). So I supposed that the incompatibilities were solved and for that reason the update was available for my PC.

The installation went without problems but after all the process and restarts required, my computer has gone totally unusable. It just keep crashing (blue screen) every 5-10 minutes. And there is no explicit exception information, just the code KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED.

It generates an error event and a memory dump (I cannot provide it because it's 700+ MB and for security reasons).

I have tried everything I think of:

  • Reinstall it (same problem with blue screens)
  • Restore the SO with a clean install (same problem with blue screens)
  • Update all drivers: graphic card, audio, etc. Everything possible.
  • Enter Safe Mode (here it do not crashes)
  • Executed the disk and memtest diagnostics, all went ok
  • Disconnect all possible peripherals and devices but still has problems
  • Uninstall the update (it returns Win10 to version 1909, and works OK)

In safe mode it does not crash, so I suppose it has something to do with drivers (audio? video? other? who knows). But I cannot determine what is the device/driver that is causing problems in order to find a solution.

My computer is almost 10 years old (some components are newer, bought in 2018:

  • Motherboard: Asrock P67 Extreme4 B3 Intel P67
  • Chipset: Intel Core i5 2500K
  • Graphic: card Nvidia GTX 1070
  • OS: Windows 10 Pro (now at version 1909, OS version 18363.1016)

I need help in finding which is the driver/device that is causing the problem, to try to update it, remove the device or do something. Now I'm forced to stop windows updates, and when I cannot postpone them, what will I do?

Thanks.
