Bought a new PC yesterday and Windows 10 Home has been fully updated to the current version, all other options/drivers were updated too. Windows Defender, firewall and other security are installed and all working. No system error messages.
But in File Explorer file detail view, Win10 Explorer crashes to desktop each time I right-click on a drive or a folder within the left-hand drive and folders pane.
But it does not crash when I click on a folder listed in the right-hand file pane. No error message, just an immediate crash to desktop.
And if I had copied a file or folder, the copy and paste cache seems to have been emptied, as I can't then paste when I restart the Explorer. The system is otherwise stable and working well.
Need a solution to a bug I've not encountered with my last up-to-date Win10 PC.
Can someone please advise what's going wrong here? Cheers.
