Came back from the weekend break and my new laptop gave me the "Profile Sign-In Failed" at bootup. I rebooted and it signed in successfully after giving me a short "Preparing Windows" message, only to find that the desktop that has been loaded is about 2 months old.System backup/restore was not enabled so I'm not even sure where this much older desktop came from. It's not a vanilla re-install as a handful of files are there but several gigs of new material is missing.With no set restore points (that I'm aware of), is there any possibility of getting my desktop files from last week back?
