Windows 7 Win7 64 fails to boot after converting SSD to GPT

Hello,


since converting my SSD from MBR to GPT Windows 7 doesn't boot - even in safe mode.


I'm trying to setup a triple boot (Win7, Win10 and Linux) on a new skylake mainboard. The reason I want to keep Win7 is a program, that doesn't run with Win10 - even in compatibility mode. UEFI/GPT is necessary because all 3 OS should be on the SSD.


First I installed Win7 in an older computer - skylake not having legacy support for USB and Win7 not having usb-drivers for the new mainboard, so no keyboard, no mouse. Once Win7 was installed and running, I put the SSD into the new computer.

Win7 worked fine, then I installed Win10 beside it - still in legacy mode. Dual boot Win7 / Win10 working flawless.


I then converted the ssd to gpt with gdisk, created uefi-partition with gparted, fixed boot sequence with Win10 rescue disc and was able to boot into Win10.

Couldn't add Win7 with the Win10 tools, added Win7 with EasyBCD.


Booting into Win7 hangs - even in secure mode.

Win7 rescue disc is not an option for me, as the standard rescue disc doesn't contain the necessary usb-drivers and I've been unable (or to stupid) to include the drivers into the rescue disc.

Any ideas how to fix that? Both Win10 and Linux can access the Win7 partition/files.

AFD.SYS is present in Windows/System32/drivers.


Any help appreciated - sorry for the long post
