Windows 10 Windows 10 "Device Missing Important Updates" - A Simple Answer - Maybe

I googled this issue where is looks for updates and after a short while just came back with 'You're not up to date ' and in red Device Missing Important Updates or something similar with all the usual 'C**P" about reset update components and re install etc.But doing something else brought me to another issue which the fix was dead simplecheck the registry entry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\ControlMake sure PortableOperatingSystem DWORD value is set to zero if not - change it to zero then restart the computer - presto computer is updating again !!!
