Windows 10 Windows 10 - Display either has black borders or very low quality depending on what resolution I use.

I just upgraded to windows 10 after countless issues trying to update. I have a monitor that can display 1920x1080. When I try to set it to 1920p, everything becomes pixelated and grainy, to the point that text is nearly unreadable. To fix this, I tried to switch the resolution down to 1776x1000. While it does make the quality better, it also adds thick black borders to the edges of the screen. I tried to update the drivers for my display adapter, but it didn't fix anything. My computer has an integrated ATI Radeon HD 4250 graphics chip. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
