My operating system is automatically resetting default applications after I restart my laptop. I use third party apps to open some applications because Microsoft applications just don't provide all the required functionalities. Some applications like Films and TV cannot open certain file types.
Mirosoft opens PDFs in its own edge browser but the edge browser does not automatically validate some signatures.

I have tried all the different ways of stopping that from happening but none of them worked. This includes using an app called "stop reseting default apps", something to do with modifying registry stuff, cmd prompt command "fsutil resource setautoreset false C:\" etc.
None of these have actually worked.
If someone knows a way of stopping that from happening, please help.
PS: I know how to change default apps in windows 10. Please don't bother giving me a generic reply. I want to stop windows from automatically resetting my default apps not merely change them so that windows can reset them again after restart.
