So I reinstalled Win 10 on a brand new laptop (its by dell so full of bloatware) and before I did, Windows update worked normally. Now, the reset this pc option in the settings didn't work that well, so I decided to make a bootable usb with win 10 installer, formatted the drive that had the old windows and installed the new windows on it. I didn't skip any steps in the installation process. Later, when I went to update on the fresh install, it just says "We can't connect to the update service", even though it was connected to the internet.
