I have a problem. I updated to Win10 CU(Fall) on Dec 29th.
Windows Store App went missing, and Edge is _now_ missing (it may have vanished for that account at th time, as I don t use it as my main browser)

*I ve checked the forums, run all the powershell scripts at "Windows Store missing in Windows 10 "thread, which restores the greyed out icon, but clicking on the icon does nothing. If I try to download apps hosted at the store from a web link, I get the error: ms-windows-store protocol not recognised.

*So I installed a new user trial a/c, and that *seemed* to reinstall everything. So:
*Then deleted my old user a/c and installed a new one:
No windows tiles AT ALL.

MS solitaire running in other accounts.

Edge , AFAIR, in other accounts.
*Checking clicking on the store app in the _trial_ new account -! it didn't work!
*New user a/c, trying the powershell script at "Windows Store missing in Windows 10 " to reregister store, I now get an "PAckage could not be Registered" ...ERROR ~4005 "Visual Elements Extension failed...

I did have a trackpad fumble where a dialogue to "Use this protocol" popped up in Edge unexpectedly, BEFORE my upgrade, which took 6 hours (from 10 BU) . checking Apps | Default Apps| by Protocols, that protocol is not listed. Nor is it listed under Windows store, or Edge.

Looks like it got corrupted/ deleted the association.

Please

How do I add it back in?
