Windows 10 Windows 10 Update Error 0x80073712 trying to install Windows 10 22H2

I was trying to update my computer to 22H2 for the first time in months, last update I installed was in August, when all of a sudden I got the error code 0x80073712. So far I've found out that my hard drive would fail a chkdsk scan, but after booting into the recovery environment I fixed that. I've also tried what the answer in Windows 11 Update Error 0x80073712 said, despite the fact that the person in that post had windows 11, but to no avail. I also ran the windows update troubleshooter and it claimed that nothing was wrong
