Hello,
Heard about the security hole in the windows 10 software last evening. Just in case it didn't update, I cold booted my computer to be sure.
Checked the recent update history, and only one of the two updates updated. The other failed.
2020-01 cumulative update for .net framework 3.5,4.7.2 and 4.8 for windows 10 version 1809 for x64 (kb4535101) failed to install to install on 1/15/2020 - 0x80240017
The 2020-01 cumulative update for windows 10 version 1809 for x64 based systems (kb4534273) successfully installed on 1/15/2020
Tried searching the ms site for manual downloads. Came up with pages that list numerous choices that are either unclear, or unusable.
Just want to be sure my computer is safe, but I've already spent 3 hours searching the net, my computer, and can not find the manual download above that failed?
Found the one for the 2020, jan 14th net framework for x64 v1809 os build 17763.973. After an hour of nothing happening, I gave up.
Hoping someone actually from the MSWindows10 team actually see's this, and helps.
However, if any of you have had the same problem, and were able to fix . . . greatly appreciate the how to.
p.s. I downloaded the windows standalone installer, before I downloaded the x64 .973 build file. Again, after an hour ... gave up.
