Hello, I am a nurse and I am no technical or computer wiz yet I adore Windows, and W10. The Windows account at FB advised me to tweet to you, as it has also provided a number to call at Manila, but the line is always busy for highly technical support. I have a problem regarding the PC's serial number or serial key to prove as genuine Microsoft W7 ultimate needed for W10 upgrade. In fact, I do have my Serial key code but it won't work.

**I had no issues with the license before coz Microsoft detected it as genuine since I started April 2015 with a new unit and genuine W7 Ultimate, and in fact I was able to successfully reserve and upgrade the windows 7 ultimate last July 29 as scheduled by Microsoft. (I even posted on my twitter a picture of my W10 desktop, see my post https://t.co/CrCiZgDvCT ) . However, for W10 to push thru, prior to a successful upgrade, avast must be temporarily deactivated because it seems to block some updates during pre-installation-- see my post https://t.co/m1K94dmZrO
Just hours after W10 upgrade , see my post https://t.co/StmBDpIt4g, I noticed that Avast does automatic reboot of my Windows10 persistently without my consent, or without clicking any shutdown dialog box, I researched in Microsoft community thru my cell phone and they said it could be malware because I had to abort the first attempt of W10 installation at 63% due to an error, see my post https://twitter.com/WotzenTiger/status/626302581594128384 ) . Now, I cannot even open and operate my PC, after repeated reboot which says-- "Avast has another instance running" (is this malware? It does not behave this usual and after a reboot, it says "Avast has optimized your PC" then reboots again and again.) The only thing I altered or reconfigure was, I subscribed to a free trial of Avast Internet Safety x 20 days when I was done with W10 upgrade, and it may provided some sort of heightened security together with Malwarebytes; see my post https://t.co/StmBDpIt4g . So, as first aid, I reboot on SAFE MODE w/ networking then chose: "restore to previous windows build" which is windows 7 -- which was successful and reinstalled Avast Antivirus and Malwarebytes to check and clean whatever virus or malware there is. I am now using W7 Ultimate again but I know something is not right.

So, from windows 10, I went back to windows 7. However, I noticed in the screen "Build 7601 not genuine". I researched again and microsoft community advised me to kill all malwares first before fixing problems, which I did. (I also had screenshots of these). The Windows update continues to try upgrading my system but only as far as 50% then prompts me to provide license key--but it rejects my existing license key.

Now, when I try to reinstall windows 10 again, windows now requires me a VALID SERIAL KEY for the windows 7 Ultimate, so that I may again be back on windows 10. Currently, 50% of W10 files are in my system but it won't run unless I provide a valid serial key-- contact manufacturer (ECS Elite Group) or distributor for license key. I eagerly searched for the registration key in my C:\windows folder and got it; I tried to run windows update again then chose 'insert license key to activate windows 7' but still it says REG KEY IS NOT VALID Purchase a new key or contact manufacturer. I also had other troubleshooters like the Microsoft update troubleshooter which all prompted me to technical support for this highly technical Issue. I had been running genuine W7 Ultimate, and I had pictures of that actually with a Windows Genuine Seal. What could be other options to upgrade back to Windows 10? Do I need to completely erase all system data and completely reinstall my W7 Ultimate to get a free W10 in return? By the way, the Microsoft hotlines in the Philippines are all busy, likewise the MS Chat Support cannot respond due to a lot of queries. Thank you.

Btw, I also tried restore options from April 30, 2015 setting, and still it cannot upgrade to W10. I received updates of Windows defender which says it is only offered to clients with 'GENUINE' microsoft products, and so I received 2 updates of such after a system restore, but I was wondering why the W10 upgrade keeps on asking me to activate my W7 and asks for serial key, and when I enter my license key, it says it's INVALID??? Help please. thanks.
