I am having the same problem as shown in Windows 10 very slow to save files and in Windows is slow when saving files
First, this is a brand new Lenovo Yoga laptop that I bought in February 2018. But I also had the same problem with my old Lenovo laptop. When I try to save a file (any type -- XLS, DOC, PPT), there is a very long 15-30-60 second delay before the file browser shows a file location. Then when I pick the location, there is another long delay so saving files is a very long process. It has happened almost from day one of owning this laptop, but happened with my prior one too, so this makes me think it is Windows of Office 365 related. This problem occurs randomly every day and I get a message that says "Working on it...."
I am also having the similar problem opening files with File Explorer -- when I click on the File Explorer icon on the bottom toolbar, there is a long delay, round wheel spinning, and it takes forever to load.
And finally, I an having a problem with Shutting Down -- again randomly happens. I select Shutdown from the Windows icon on the bottom toolbar and there is a long delay. This happens both when I right click and left click on the Windows icon. Have to keep trying until it finally works.
I have run the diagnostics suggested on the two threads above and the problem is not resolved. I have also been online with Geek Squad several times, even just yesterday afternoon, and the problem is not resolved. They suggested I reach out to Microsoft for assistance.
