I've had this problem for a long time where the Windows Explorer on my machine hangs every 50 - 60 seconds. It makes it hard to type, like this description for example, or papers for school. I also notice that it causes my games to lag as well. It only hangs for a brief second and becomes increasingly worse (to about 1.5 - 2 seconds max). The only way to lessen the impact is to open the task manager and restart Windows Explorer. I do this just about every time I log on. But the hanging still happens, but to only about 0.5 - 1 second.
