Windows 11 Windows 11 23H2 "Insider" Line Input has a signal on it yet Windows fails to recognize Line Input to be an input source

I clicked on Add a Device and Windows went into an infinite loop. I really would like to record whatever is arriving on Line Input. You can forget about any desire on my part to record from a microphone.
