Basically, every single exe on my computer now has a blank icon. When i make a shortcut, the icon is also blank. When going to the properties of the shortcut, the icon is visible there, but selecting/double clicking the icon and pressing apply does not work. Trying to switch it to a different one and back doesn't work either. I have tried clearing my icon and thumbnail cache, but nothing has worked at all. What makes it strange as well is that shortcut icons from ico files work just fine with absolutely no problems, but my computer seems unable to display icons that are baked into exe files.
