I see this issue keeps coming over the years with no actual positive solution or explanation as to the why there is a problem. Today in an hour, Windows 11 blew through my monthly allotment of data just to download Windows updates. The network is metered and windows updates is set not to update on metered connections. It seems that windows ignores the settings. This computer has only one regular network and the network is metered. How do I stop windows from updating until it is connected to a non-metered network?
