Windows 11 Windows 11 MS Bluetooth Mouse "Try connecting your device again".

I bought one of Microsoft's "Bluetooth Ergonomic Mice" a few days ago and was confused to find that it simply refuses to connect to my PC. When i turn it on, it automatically begins searching for something to pair with, but it doesn't pair with my PC. If i attempt to pair it manually by going into the "bluetooth and devices" settings, all the pop-up tells me is "Try connecting your device again" within a second of clicking it. If i click it again, the light on the bottom of the mouse flickers rapidly, but still never connects.I'm running Windows 11, as up-to-date as it can be as of writing thi
