Windows 11 Windows 11 photo editor : reduces files more than 300% can or will it be fixed????

Given all the bad reviews I have read about the photo editor in Windows 11 customers and my own bad experiences: it does not provide functions as good as the former; Worst of all, if used minimally (say, to straighten a photo) it will reduce the file from 20megs to 3megs. Yes, I could buy a foto editor, but that doesn't compensate for the uniqueness of the previous functions, which provide real creative advantages.
