I recently required a restore of a backup of my Win 7 Enterprise install.
Windows informed me that I needed to activate it. When trying I received an activation error 0xC004C020
I realize that this is a volume code and that the number of activations has been exceeded. However, the problem is that this error code is occurring after a restore which seems to me to be a problem. I don't understand why this should occur in this case. I can no longer get a new code for this computer as the monetary support for our group is limited. Is there anything that can be done?
Thanks,
Chad
