Windows 7 Windows 7 installer error

Hi:


I can't do updates in Windows. I have Windows 7, SP2 64 bits.

When doing the update (in Windows Update), I get error 80073712.


I noticed that file c:\windows\system32\msiexec.exe has 0 bytes. And of course the service Windows Installer is not running, and can't be started (it's an empty .exe file).


I ran sfc /scannow and Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth.

I downloaded the Windows Update Troubleshooter file Windows6.1-KB947821-v34-x64.


What else can I do to fix the error?
