Windows 7 Windows 7 Loudness Equalization: Do you use this at all? Maybe for voice communication?

Talking to people on the computer can be a real headache as so many people use lousy mics so their voice often drops off hugely if they move slightly way from their mic. Loudness Equalization seems to help this. Also some VOIP systems have the volume way higher when its ringing than when they pick up. But I was wondering if you've noticed any sound quality differences when playing music. (Obviously this isn't very important when voice chatting.) It seems like a great feature for much of our computing experience. I'd never even heard of it til a few days ago.
