Windows 11 Windows connects to internet, network icon briefly shows the connected signal, but then swaps back to globe, cannot do windows updates

I'm getting a bit hacked off with Microsoft software, yes, Windows. I connect my machine to my home WiFi, it briefly shows the network signal, but then quickly returns to the globe icon. I cannot then perform any windows updates, and the time doesn't automatically sync. However, I am connected to the internet as I can browser quite happily.I have tried EVERYTHING. Changing to a static IP address from DHCP, changing DNS servers, flushing DNS, using an ethernet cable, disabling/enabling network drivers, disabling the virus checker.
