Windows 11 Windows Defender in Windows 11 - Does running a full scan also scan files pertaining to another user's account?

Hi. I recently bought my 13-year old son a new laptop. Running the latest versions of Windows 11. I have the laptop set up with two user accounts: me as administrator and my son as a regular user. When I initiate a full Windows Defender virus scan (as found in Windows Security) while logged in to my account, does the scan include all files that would be associated with my son's user account, or do I need to initate a scan from my son's account as well?
