Windows 10 Windows does not boot, black screen with cursor after trying to add new ssd.

My old SSD that has my OS was starting to fail so I wanted to upgrade to a larger one. When I plugged in the new SSD the pc screen went black with just the cursor and now fails to boot. I have tried every solution under the sun, Ctrl-Alt-Delete and other hotkeys do nothing the screen stays black. When I boot into safe mode none of the options worked either. Startup repair, uninstall updates, even reset pc results in an error. I tried sfc /scannow and it says my disk is write protected. Dism also gives different errors. At this point I cant keep track of everything I've tried. I CANNOT fully in
